Agriculture Bank Insurance Joint - Stock Corporation (ABIC) is a Vietnam-based company engaged in the insurance industry. The Company provides property and casualty insurance services, as well as reinsurance services. It is involved in the offering of over 100 insurance products which are divided into three types: property, marine and non-marine insurance. The Company is engaged in initially underwriting property damage and casualty insurance policies, agricultural insurance policies, vessel insurance policies, transportation insurance policies, fire insurance policies and vehicle insurance policies. During the fiscal year ended December 31, 2009, 38.18% of its revenue came from vehicle insurance activities. As of December 31, 2009, Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) was its controlling shareholder. The Company had eight branches in Vietnam.
