The GDP growth accelerated to 7.55 percent in the fourth quarter compared to 5.98 percent, 7.25 percent, and 7.43 percent in the first three quarters, said the GSO.
This year's GDP growth also beats previous projections of the Asian Development Bank (6.4 percent), the World Bank (6.1 percent), and the International Monetary Fund (6.1 percent)
Industry and construction sector enjoyed robust growth of 8.24 percent, contributing 45.17 percentage points to GDP growth.
Viet Nam's GDP size is estimated to reach VND11,511.9 trillion (equivalent to US$476.3 billion) and the GDP per capita is estimated at US$4,700, an increase of US$377 against the previous year, said the GSO./.
