PetroVietnam Power Corporation explained the financial statements in Quarter 1/2021 as follows:

1)      For the separate financial statements:

Profit after tax in Quarter I/2021 increased by 2.549 billion dongs (equivalent to 62.21%) compared to Quarter I/2020 due to profit before tax increased by 3,187 billion dongs (equivalent to 62.25%) compared to Quarter I/2020 because of the following reasons:

-          To increase the net profit from service activities: 2,250 billion dongs (equivalent to 43.96%)

-          To reduce operating costs: 149 billion dongs (equivalent to 2.91%).

2)      For consolidated financial statements:

Profit after tax in Quarter I/2021 increased by 2,725 billion dongs (equivalent to 65.15%) compared to Quarter I/2020 due to profit before tax in Quarter I/2021 increased by 3,409 billion dongs (equivalent to 65.27%) compared to Quarter I/2020 because of the following reasons:

-          To increase the net profit from service activities: 2,311 billion dongs (equivalent to 44.25%)

-          To reduce operating costs: 131 billion dongs (equivalent to 2.51%).
