On February 20, 2019, in Phu My commune, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, Gemadept - Terminal Link Cai Mep Terminal Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Gemalink port, the biggest project of deep sea container port in Vietnam.

Gemalink port is invested by Gemadept - Terminal Link Cai Mep Terminal Joint Stock Company, 75% owned by Gemadept Corporation and 25% by CMA Terminals. The total investment of the project is 520 million dollars, including two phases: 330 million dollars for the first phase and 190 million dollars for the second phase.
