Myanmar’s economy grew 8.5 percent in 2014-15, a great improvement from the growth rate of 5.3 percent in 2010-11. The economy of Myanmar is expected to grow at a slower pace in 2016 and 2017 due to floods and slowing investments, but it is still above the forecast growth rate of developing economies in the East Asia and Pacific region.
