Vietjet has marked a decade of its operations between Việt Nam and South Korea with the announcement of a new route, connecting the coastal city of Nha Trang to Korea’s fourth-largest city, Daegu.
The new route is scheduled to start on October 27, with seven round-trip flights per week, affirming the airline’s largest flight network between the two countries.
The announcement was made at a ceremony at the Việt Nam-South Korea Tourism Promotion and Cultural Co-operation Forum on Monday, witnessed by the Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, along with senior leaders from both nations, during his official visit to South Korea.
To commemorate the milestone, Vietjet is offering an anniversary promotion this week, with tens of thousands of tickets between Việt Nam and South Korea starting as low as zero dollar, excluding taxes and fees.
Passengers can book these promotional tickets at www.vietjetair.com of via the Vietjet Air mobile app, for flights from August 22 to May 22, 2025 (excluding holidays and peak seasons), the airline said.
In addition to receiving free SkyCare insurance, all SkyJoy’s members booking Vietjet flights during this period will also receive 200 free points to redeem for gifts and participate in lucky draws as part of the Vietjet SkyJoy loyalty programme.

Since its inaugural flight linking the two capitals Hà Nội and Seoul in July 2014, Vietjet has been constantly expanding its flight network, transporting ten million passengers across over 37 regular and charter services between the two nations, with the number continuing to grow.
Vietjet’s extensive flight network between Việt Nam and South Korea links HCM City, Hà Nội, Hải Phòng, Đà Nẵng, Nha Trang, Phú Quốc, and Đà Lạt with Seoul, Busan and Daegu. In 2023, Việt Nam welcomed 12.6 million international visitors, with a staggering 3.6 million arriving from South Korea alone, solidifying South Korea as Việt Nam's largest and most significant foreign market.
The new Daegu-Nha Trang route not only connects these two destinations but also expands Vietjet's network across Việt Nam and internationally to destinations in Australia, India, Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia, creating more opportunities for cultural exchange, economic development and tourism between nations, according to Vietjet. — VNS
