Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Viet Nam (VCB) explained the financial statements in the fourth quarter of 2019 as follows:

-     The separate profit after tax of Q4.2019 decreased by VND 956 billion (equivalent to 17.92%) compared to the same period last year due to the profit before tax decreased by VND 1,194 billion (equivalent to 17.92%) compared to the same period last year. The reason for the increase is due to the following main items:

+ The increase in income from service activities;

+  The increase in net profit from foreign exchange;

+ The increase in income from securities investment.

-     The consolidated profit after tax decreased by VND 844 billion (equivalent to 16.09%) compared to the same period last year due to the profit before tax decreased by VND 1,076 billion (equivalent to 16.34%) compared to the same period last year. The reason for the increase is due to the following main items:

+ The increase in income from service activities;

+  The increase in net profit from foreign exchange;

+ The increase in income from securities investment;

+ The increase in income from other activities.
